The Bellevile Public Library and Information Center is offering new English as a Second Lanugage (ESL, Citizenship) and Citizenship Classes in addition to our popular English Conversation Group.
The new classes will be broken down into beginner, intermediate and advanced courses and will have course books and materials available as well.
Please note that during the pandemic all courses are conducted online via Zoom.us.
Update! Course books are now available at the library. Pick up books at the circulation desk before 3pm on days the library is open.
You can see upcoming classes and register here or on our Events calendar.
This beginning-level class will allow students to develop basic English vocabulary and grammatical structures so that they can successfully communicate. The course content will lay the foundation for life skills, higher education, and workforce entry. Lessons will integrate the four language skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
ESL Intermediate Class
The ESL Intermediate Class is intended for people who already have a basic understanding of English but are not yet fluent speakers of the language. It is not required to have taken the beginner class to attend this class.
English Conversation Group
Practice your English language skills in a comfortable supportive environment led by a facilitator. The Belleville Public Library and Information Center's English Conversation Group provides guidance but is also a great place to make friends.
