Reading Buddies (Winter & Spring 2008)
Reading Buddies sessions are held on a weekly basis.
Tuesday 3:30 – 4:30 pm
Thursday 6:30 – 7:30 pm
Saturday 10:30 -11:30 pm
& 3:00 – 4:30 pm
The Reading Buddies Program is a group of teens who volunteer to help children learn and practice reading.
The Reading Buddy member will:

Work with younger kids who need help in reading
-
Suggest books they can practice at home with
-
Motivate children to do their best in school

Receive community service hours for their efforts

Set up book displays at the Youth People corner, and post information to TeenNet. Deliver newsletters & flyers to schools.

Free Comic Book Day (May 3, 2008)
Every year, on the first Saturday in May, comic book stores around the world join with publishers to give readers like you a chance to experience the many kinds of stories that comics have to offer – Absolutely FREE.

3) Review and Suggest books for the new Teen Collection: Add your favorite books, journals, music CDs & movie DVDs to our YA collection
Join the Teen Advisory Council Meeting on the last Thursday every month @ 6-7pm:
