MISSION STATEMENT
(Adopted by the Library Board of Trustees, September, 1995)
The mission of the Belleville Public Library and Information Center will be:
- to act as an information center providing information and books, media and
other materials, locally, state-wide, nationally and globally;
- to act as a formal education support center, assisting students of all
ages including public, parochial, college, university, and private schools;
- to act as a continuing education, recreation and cultural center;
- to act as a preschool center of learning; and to act as a community
activities and community information center while providing open and
equal access for all the people that use the library.
